The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the reasoning behind the strikes, and what could likely be next in line.
Right when the weekend was starting, Israel didn’t hesitate on its latest strike against Iran.
It managed to attack a number of military facilities, but avoided certain nuclear sites. This comes just days after Iran fired a number of ballistic missiles into Israel.
So why was this decisive strike made? Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin breaks it down into two key areas:
- To weaken down Iran’s air defenses
- To do serious damage to the Iranian regime’s deterrence, without exacerbating conflict with Biden, who doesn’t want a blow-up before the election.
So what comes next? And more importantly, when will the next move be made? Rubin, who also serves as Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, joins us now to discuss the situation further.
Q&A:
- Was Israel’s latest strike on Iran a crucial one, especially considering it was aimed specifically at military targets?
- How effective would you say the strike was when it came to hitting Iran’s air defenses?
- How much of a factor did Biden’s concerns play in the strike? Did Israel give him enough consideration, or were they still upset over the leaked documents that made the rounds over a week ago?
- You noted that Israel’s next attack could be a big one, taking place right after the U.S. election. Do you believe they will go after Iran’s oil and nuclear sites? Or could they focus specifically on other targets, depending on how Iran responds to this latest attack?
- Where do you see the conflict between Iran and Israel going in the months ahead? Will the situation get worse before it gets better?
