A U.S. District Court Judge Has Handed Down a Fierce Sentencing On Five Peaceful Pro-Life Advocates – And Attorneys Are Attempting To Fight Back (Guest: Jim Harden)

CompassCare CEO Jim Harden explains why people should be keeping a close eye on this particular case, as it could have an impact on America’s battle over abortion.

In America, people have the right to fight for what they believe in. However, five peaceful pro-life advocates are about to pay the price for taking a stand against the abortion industry.

Earlier this week, U.S. District Court Judge Collen Kollar-Kotely found five pro-life advocates guilty of rescuing babies from abortion. As such, they’re currently being held in a federal prison, awaiting a sentence that could go as far as 11 years in prison.

Lauren Handy, Will Goodman, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, and Herb Geraghty have all been convicted by the Biden administration following what they believe is a violation of the FACE Act.

That said, attorneys are already attempting to fight back. Several that work with the Thomas More Society filed an emergency motion with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to reconsider the decision made against Handy and her friends, which, if approved, could overturn the actions of the FACE Act – much to the dismay of Biden and his pro-abortion advocates.

Rev. Jim Harden, who serves as CEO for CompassCare Pregnancy Centers, noted in a press release, “The conviction of Lauren Handy of a conspiracy against rights and a FACE act violation is yet another example of how this Act is America’s version of Stalin’s Article 58, using an activist court to violate the first amendment rights of Lauren and her friends.”

Harden joins us now to discuss the case further, and where he sees the battle over abortion going in the months ahead.

Q&A:

  1. Do you believe Judge Kollar-Kotely acted too harshly against these pro-life advocates, possibly based on her own personal beliefs? Is this something that should be taken into consideration when it comes to sentencing?
  2. You noted how Kollar-Kotely used Antifa arguments with this particular case, noting that pro-life people potentially enslave women to force them to have their babies?
  3. Why does the Biden administration seem so driven with their pro-abortion message?
  4. Where do you see this case going? Will the Thomas More Society be successful with their emergency court order and possibly an appeal?
  5. Where do you see the battle over abortion going in the months ahead? Could the FDA possibly try to approve dangerous drugs (such as the chemical abortion pill) that could harm thousands of women?
  6. Speaking of controversy surrounding abortion, how frustrated are you that, even with video evidence, no one has been arrested in the firebombing attack on your CompassCare location last summer?
  7. Where can people go to learn more about CompassCare?

a. They can visit our official website at CompassCareCommunity.com.
