A New Poll Suggests That President Biden Isn’t Thinking Properly When It Comes To Gun Laws

A spokesman for the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms explains why the President’s restrictive gun rules could cost him re-election.

President Joe Biden has been taking some awful decisions when it comes to setting up restrictive gun laws, even going as far as to set up a dedicated office to create them. But now, a new poll suggests just how much people know just how awful he is at it.

Conducted by The Economist and YouGov, the survey indicates that only 29 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s push towards restrictive gun laws, and that only five percent of Republicans and 24 percent of independents approve of his restrictive policies. Meanwhile, 88 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of independents disapprove of his decisions.

“These are eye-opening numbers which squarely put Joe Biden standing in the corner wearing a dunce cap when it comes to guns,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb on the matter. “It should be noted this survey was done before White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed the murder of New York police officer Jonathan Diller on so-called ‘gun violence’ instead of admitting that Democratic Party policies that allowed a repeat offender, with 21 prior arrests, to be on the street might have something to do with the tragedy.”

Gottlieb continued, “What’s worse for Biden is that he got lower numbers on only one other subject, immigration. It seems obvious that the president is horribly out of touch with the public on two critical issues. The survey underscores Joe Biden’s total disregard for constitutional rights and border security, and it also reflects how Democrats (56%) are far more likely to approve of his restrictive gun policies than Republicans and Independents.

“(Joe) Biden’s obsession with restricting or banning popular firearms has him at odds with a majority (54%) of Americans. Gun rights versus gun control will likely be a major reason why people head for the polls in November.”

A representative for the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) joins us now to discuss the matter further.

Q&A:

  1. Why are so many people opposed to Biden’s gun policies? Are they really that ridiculous, or is he just “out of touch” when it comes to creating policies that make sense?
  2. He’s boasting about how he hopes to ban assault weapons as he did many years ago as Vice President, but does he really have the means to do so? Or is it merely a smokescreen?
  3. In an effort to save his re-election bid as President, will Biden likely try to reconfigure his gun policies? Or will he push on hoping that they’ll eventually stick with his proposed audience?
  4. How bad do you think his gun policies will affect him when it comes to the voting polls this November? We know a number of Donald Trump supporter are already voicing their disdain for him.
  5. Where can people call in to pledge their support to the CCRKBA?
    1. The number to support the group is (800) 699-0992.
  6. Where can we learn more about the CCRKBA and its members?
