Israel vs. Hamas: Latest Analysis as War Continues

GUEST- LIVE FROM JERUSALEM – May 18 – 20: David Rubin, native New Yorker, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and author of the brand-new book, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel.

TOPIC POINTS:

• Israel was criticized after the IDF destroyed the JalaTower, which housed the APR, Al Jazeera, and other int’l news outlets, in Gaza. Is the criticism justified? Absolutely not. Will anyone condemn Hamas for deliberately using foreign journalists as human shields? Will anyone condemn Hamas for hiding their weapons in hospitals and using schoolyards as missile launching sites? The UN, the EU, and the radical Left are complicit in Hamas’ cynical game of using civilians as human shields and then shedding crocodile tears of anger when they are attacked.

• Is it true that the Israeli military used precision airstrikes to destroy nine miles of terror tunnels, eliminate Hamas commanders, and destroyed weapons depots located in the homes of Hamas terrorists? Yes, but many more similar attacks are needed. Hamas has built an enormous terrorist infrastructure over the years. Israel’s careful, methodical air attacks are gradually eliminating that infrastructure, but unless they speed up this slow pace, it will take time.

• Is there a way to de-escalate the situation? The only lasting way to calm the situation is for Israel to continue dismantling the Hamas terror infrastructure and continue killing the Hamas terrorists until they raise the white flags of surrender. Only disproportionate force by Israel will make that happen.

• The Biden Administration is continuing to push a two-state solution, through their “quiet, intensive diplomacy.” Is that really the solution to this conflict? The two-state solution, by definition, means the State of Israel surrendering its biblical heartland to a Hamas-controlled terrorist state. That is a suicidal recipe for Israel.

• Today the Biden Administration approved a $735 million weapons sale to Israel, after having received sharp criticism for restoring $300 million in aid to the Palestinians and doing so unconditionally… Now the conflict among Democrats is clear for all to see, as the radical Left Democrats like the “Squad” continue to harshly criticize Israeli air strikes. Which Democrat party will hold sway in this internal struggle? The radical Left is growing in America and they claim to support every liberation movement except Zionism, the prophetic return of Jewish sovereignty in the historic Land of Israel. Sadly, they are vehemently anti-Israel, and are growing in leaps and bounds. I wish it weren’t so, but they seem to have the momentum and the energy in today’s Democratic Party.
