Spokesman Stephen Willeford explains the importance of gun rights as the newly re-elected President arrives this January.
With President Donald Trump set to return to the White House next month, the Gun Owners of America are readying themselves to protect gun rights in 2025.
Specifically, the GOA is aiming at Biden’s Office of Gun Control, which has been long-standing in revoking the gun-owning rights of certain individuals that have falsely been deemed threats. As part of that, it’s trying to push for Trump to prepare a specialized White House team to find a way around reduced crime – without the need to ban firearms.
Chief lobbyist Aidan Johnston recently published a series of recommendations for the Trump administration, and more coverage via the written word and video is expected soon.
Joining us now to discuss this nomination further is Stephen Willeford, who currently serves as spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. Stephen is the “hero with a gun” from the Sutherland Springs incident in 2017, which he has since co-written a book about. We welcome him to the show!
