Spokesman Stephen Willeford discusses why the decision is the right one for when Trump takes office next month.
Over the course of the weekend, re-elected President Donald Trump made it clear that current FBI director Christopher Wray isn’t doing his job properly with that office. With that, he’s made a new selection – Kash Patel.
The Gun Owners of America, a group that firmly believes in everyone’s right to bear arms, applauded the decision, especially with Patel’s support of the pro-gun movement.
Erich Pratt, who serves as Senior Vice President for the Gun Owners of America, noted, “We’re thrilled by the nomination of Kash Patel to head up the FBI. Over the course of the last four years, anti-gunners constantly weaponized the FBI against gun owners, and we’re confident that under his leadership, the reckoning is coming.”
Tim Macy, the chairman for the GOA, added, “Kash is a true constitutionalist who shares our commitment to the Second Amendment.”
