The CCRKBA Speaks Out Against President Joe Biden’s Push For an Assault Rifle Ban Following the Attack On Donald Trump

A spokesman for the group explains that “it’s not the tool, it’s the evil fool.”

Approximately one week after an assassin attempted to kill former President Donald Trump during a rally stop in Pennsylvania, politicians remain divided over gun control in the United States. And with that, President Joe Biden continues to put for his ban on “assault rifles.”

But many groups have spoken out against the proposed ban, with the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms reminding Biden that “it’s not the tool, it’s the evil fool.”

“Is he personally going to go door-to-door and confiscate peoples’ firearms,” Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, asked. “By some estimates, Americans own more than 22 million modern semi-auto rifles. That’s an awful lot of doors to be knocking on.”

Gottlieb continued, “It is not the inanimate object that kills people, it is the person pulling the trigger. But Biden, and other anti-gunners, always want to ban guns without exacting harsh punishment for the people who misuse them. They’d rather blame the firearm than the criminal.

“This just demonstrates the lack of common sense which seems to be the trademark of the Biden administration,” he continued. “It proves we need someone in the White House who understands how to solve problems rather than running in circles. Joe Biden seems incapable of crafting real solutions to violent crime, and he is stuck on gun bans like a broken record. When the only tool in your box is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.”

And even with Biden stepping away from the Presidential nomination, he’s recommending current Vice President Kamala Harris, who could have some anti-gun stances of her own.

A spokesman for the CCRKBA joins us now to discuss this matter further.

Q&A:

  1. Why are so many politicians concerned about banning weapons rather than working on the behavioral treatment of those that would wield them? Just cheaper overall? Or something else?
  2. Do you believe Vice President Kamala Harris, who will likely step into Biden’s Democratic nomination, could have just as big a push for banning “assault weapons” as he was?
  3. What will this mean for gun rights moving forward in the months ahead? Will they be a vital topic during forthcoming Presidential debates?
  4. Why aren’t more politicians considering Concealed-Carry as a viable option for protection against active shooters? They’ve certainly been effective in the past.
  5. Where can people call in to pledge their support to the CCRKBA?
    1. The number to support the group is (800) 699-0992.
  6. Where can we learn more about the CCRKBA and its members?
