BIG BROTHER IS GOOGLING YOU Exposing the Privacy Threat of the Internet’s Most Popular Sites (Bill Waggoner is in PST)

Image During the Bush administration, it was the Patriot Act. In the past year, under Obama, it’s been the fear that an expanding leftist government would use the Internet to monitor everyday Americans labeled as “right-wing extremists.”

But, according to Bill Waggoner, one of the world’s most widely known Internet marketers, and a leading authority on spam cons, we, the freedom-loving people of the United States, don’t really have our eye on the ball when it comes to Internet privacy.

“What people should really be gnashing their teeth about are the Internet giants that have become part of our daily lives,” warns Waggoner. “I don’t think people have any idea how closely they are being monitored by the likes of Google, Twitter, Facebook and all the search engines and social media sites. And it’s potentially very dangerous.”

Recently, Google officially announced it will join the likes of competitors Yahoo and Microsoft’s Bing to begin indexing personal social media micro-blog entries, making it so these entries can appear in search results. This move, Waggoner points out, will expose people’s personal dialogues and leave them extremely vulnerable to hackers, spammers and viruses.

But it doesn’t end there. New “eye-in-the-sky” technologies like Google Earth make it ridiculously and irresponsibly easy for criminals to find and threaten virtually anyone.

“You name it,” says Waggoner, “A stalker, a child molester, even a terrorist . . . If they want to find you, they can. They can figure out exactly where you are, any time, anywhere.”

The worst part is, Waggoner adds, Google and the rest of them know exactly what they’re doing.

Find out the why and the how behind the corporate Internet threat that is much bigger than anything the government can impose. And, more importantly, arm the individuals in your audience with the information they need to protect themselves. Call Special Guests to schedule an interview with Bill Waggoner today.

ABOUT BILL WAGGONER:

For 15 years, Bill has been the lightning rod for the independent businessman engaged in the world of e-commerce since his fabled appearance before Congress at the 2003 Federal Trade Commission (FTC) CAN-SPAM Act hearings in Washington.

Bill’s appearance at the 2003 FTC hearings that focused the debate on spam, e-mail marketing and the difference between the two, catapulted him into the limelight of e-commerce revolutionaries.

He has been maligned and all but tarred and feathered by all of the major players in the Internet universe, mostly for being the only person who showed up to present an opinion other than that of the industry that runs the Internet.

From on-again/off-again student in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area to humble pizza delivery guy, to the media darling A.K.A. “king of spam,” Bill Waggoner has been blazing a trail of maverick independence throughout his life.

He has been a frequent guest on major talk radio stations and is currently putting the final edits on an audiobook series focused on e-commerce, designed for people who are interested in protecting their investments in e-commerce and keeping the private part of their lives private.

Bill operates an e-commerce marketing consultancy with an industry-leading focus on e-mail communications for both political and commercial interests.

He’s currently working on developing a range of products including a secure browser, cookie management systems, spam filters and other tools for secure commerce and personal communications. He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
