ITCHY TRIGGER IN DC: White House Endorsement Emboldens Latest Gun Control Bill (Alan Gottlieb resides in Pacific Time)

ITCHY TRIGGER IN DC: White House Endorsement Emboldens Latest Gun Control Bill (Alan Gottlieb resides in Pacific Time)

Image If you walk into a gun shop these days, there is a good chance you’ll see a photo of President Barack Obama on the wall with the title “Firearm Salesman of the Year.” Even though he promised voters during his campaign, “I’m not going to take your guns away,” most Americans ran out and made purchases right after he won the election. Why?

With the latest developments in the Capitol, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Alan Gottlieb, says it’s pretty clear. When it comes to the protection of 2nd Amendment rights, Obama has no credibility. And he proved that when he recently went public with his support of (D) New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg’s S. 1317 bill that would give Attorney General Holder the unilateral authority to block gun sales to some one million U.S. citizens.

Now, granted, those citizens are singled out as people on the government’s terror watch list. But how did they get on the list? “Trial by innuendo and misinformation,” writes Gottlieb in his organization’s latest e-mail alert. After all, how else would a retired U.S. Air National Guard brigadier general wind up on the list? Today, he’s a commercial pilot, and he has trouble boarding his own plane.

Making matters worse, according to polls, this latest gun-control legislation attempt is another in what appears to be a growing trend in Washington, where our political leaders don’t care what the American people really want.

A Rasmussen poll shows an overwhelming 75 percent of Americans say the Constitution guarantees the right to own a gun. That includes 92 percent of registered Republicans and 64 percent of Democrats! Further, 57 percent of those polled agreed that fear of increased government restrictions is causing the spike in gun sales . . . Seems the Obama photo in the gun shops is fair and accurate.

For an informative discussion on the Lautenberg bill, the threat it poses to the Bill of Rights, the likelihood of it becoming law, and the tactics gun owners should deploy to stop it, call Special Guests to schedule an interview with Alan Gottlieb.
