RIGHT HAND LOOKING WEAK IN HEALTHCARE FIGHT; GOP Observers Questioning Their Leadership in the Senate (Larry Pratt is in Eastern Time)

RIGHT HAND LOOKING WEAK IN HEALTHCARE FIGHT; GOP Observers Questioning Their Leadership in the Senate (Larry Pratt is in Eastern Time)

Image When the alumni of a university pour their hearts and wallets into supporting their alma mater’s football team, they tend to get restless after several straight losing seasons. Then, the next thing you know, the coach is on the hot seat.

Analogous to this is what’s happening on the political gridiron in Washington right now, with the battle over healthcare reform standing as the big rivalry game of the century. And for Republican stalwarts like Larry Pratt, Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America (GOA), it’s not looking good.

After the payoff to acquire what appears to be the deciding vote from Nebraska Senator Bill Nelson, the Dems are posturing like they have the ball and are running out the clock to victory. Meanwhile, Pratt and other conservatives are taking a good look at their leader in the Senate, wondering why he is standing by as the political game unfolds to GOP dismay.

Then, it becomes evident to Pratt who, in retrospect, points out that Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) (pictured) has lost nearly every major legislative battle he has managed. And, unfortunately, the habit of losing couldn’t come at a worse time.

For a rundown of McConnell’s record, a commentary on how he is failing conservatives on ObamaCare, while allowing adversary Harry Reid (D-NV) to deal under the table, and a dress-down of the growing anti-gun, anti-free-market bill being forced on the American people as an ugly Christmas present, call Special Guests to book an interview with Larry Pratt.
