U.S. MIGHT IS U.S. MAYBE House Votes Harder Sanctions on Iran; Senate and President Waver (Avi Lipkin is in Israel; 7 hrs ahead of EST)
With intensifying concern over Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, the U.S. House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly last week to ratchet up economic sanctions on the rogue nation. In a bipartisan 412 to 12 count, lawmakers said to petro-refinery companies around the world, “If you do business with Iran, you’re not doing business with America.”
But, so far, the tough talk stops there, as John Kerry of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee announced that the Senate “needs time to consider the bill,” and the White House is still holding fast to the dubious strategy of negotiations with Iran.
Available for interviews to cast a perspective on this from a third-party nation deeply vested in the outcome is Avi Lipkin, a former member of the Israeli Defense Forces and a former translator inside the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office.
Lipkin is deeply entrenched in the issue of U.S. foreign relations with the Middle East and can provide an incredibly insightful commentary on the prospect of an eventual military conflict that would likely involve his country.
While Iran continues to test missiles, sign military agreements with Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas, and carry out various acts of aggression in the region, the U.S.—under an Obama administration suspect in its support of Israel—continues to do nothing much more than draw lines in the sand.
For a compelling view on the impact these sanctions would really have, and how the entire U.S.–Israeli–Iranian diplomatic dance might play out in the next six to 12 months, call Special Guests to arrange an interview with Avi Lipkin. Your audience will appreciate Lipkin’s candor as he covers subject matter that mainstream American media won’t touch.
