U.N. PUTS TROUBLING TARGET ON YOUTH: Conference in Mexico to Feature Heavy Pro-Abortion Lobby (Guest in EDT)
They’re calling it the World Conference on Youth (WCY), in the United Nations’ “International Year of Youth.” Sounds like a noble cause that should encourage all those who shall inherit the earth . . . except the youth who are too young. As in, so young they aren’t born yet.
Austin Ruse is the Director of the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute (C-FAM), an organization that diligently tracks the social policy movements of the U.N. and works to have a family-advocacy place at the table of every U.N. social policy negotiation.
Unfortunately, the latest U.N. endeavor that falls under this category—this new Youth Conference—has been largely kept under wraps while its organizers, including sponsor and pro-abortion group, Catholics for Choice, have selected which organizations are eligible to attend. Now, with the application window closed, the U.N. is prepared to announce the first event to be held in Mexico in August.
As a guest on your show, Ruse can spell out what is so troubling about these developments, and why the “World Conference on Youth” is shamefully misguided.
Though not an official U.N. event, the Youth Conference in Mexico is backed by several pro-abortion U.N. agencies, including the United Nations Population Fund and the United Nations Development Program.
While Mexico is only a planning meeting for the official Conference scheduled for July 2011 in Tunisia, it will produce an official document that is drafted to influence the high-level review of the Millennium Development Goals at the U.N. General Assembly in September.
And, as Ruse can explain, this puts a heavily lopsided pro-abortion lobby on the floor of the U.N. at a time when the U.N. already has enough ideas about imposing Western liberal, secular, anti-family mandates on more traditional countries around the world.
Call Special Guests right away to really understand the full implications of this Youth Conference. Ask to schedule an interview with the tenacious pro-family advocate, Austin Ruse.
