NOTRE DAME TO GIVE OBAMA HONORARY DOCTORATE: Pro-life Leaders Object
The University of Notre Dame is reportedly offering an honorary doctorate of law degree to Barack Obama in exchange for his being a commencement speaker at graduation.
Vehemently objecting to seeing a pro-life Catholic university give such an honor to a pro-abortion politician, are a myriad of pro-life leaders including Chris Slattery, director of the largest chain of crisis pregnancy centers in New York and Joe Sheidler, founder of Pro-life Action League of Chicago, Deal Hudson, Austin Ruse, Patrick Reilly, and Drew Mariani.

Slattery contends that the Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of fundamental moral principles and that they certainly should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.
