MUSLIMS FIGHT FOR “PEACE”: Pro-Palestine Rallies Around the World Miss the Point
In Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington—to focus on just a few U.S. cities for a moment—protests against the Israeli–Palestinian conflict in Gaza the past few days have been mostly relegated to absurdly ironic placards comparing Israel to Nazi Germany.
But in the progressive European Union, of all places, Arab demonstrations for peace have turned violent. Offering your audience a unique and insightful perspective is Walid Shoebat, a former Palestinian terrorist, now U.S. citizen and Christian, who finds these “peaceful” movements turned into assaults hardly surprising.
“You’re talking about a culture of war among the Arabs that dates back thousands of years,” says Shoebat. “Peace is generally a concept they have difficulty grasping.”
In Paris, a Jewish teenage girl was mobbed by a group of protestors who vowed she would “pay for Israel’s acts.” In both France and Sweden, Jewish monuments were firebombed. And in London, during a Palestinian rally bordering on a riot, Arab supporters chased police while calling them “[expletive] cowards” and shouting “Allahu Akhbar.” (Visit http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/01/uk-muslim-peace-protesters-chase-police.html to watch the video.)
Meanwhile, on the World Wide Web, an Islamist site posts a hit list of prominent British Jews.
“Think about it,” adds Shoebat, “Since giving Gaza back to the Palestinians in 2005, Israel has suffered some 6,000 indiscriminate rocket attacks into its civilian neighborhoods. When are Israeli concessions enough for the likes of Hamas to accept peace?”
If anyone can attempt to shed light on the mystery of the Palestinian mindset that shoots first and exercises reason later, it is Shoebat. Call Special Guests today to schedule an interview during this volatile time in the Middle East. ABOUT WALID SHOEBAT…
Born in Bethlehem of Judea, Walid’s grandfather was the Muslim Mukhtar (chieftain) of Beit Sahour-Bethlehem (The Shepherd's Fields) and a friend of Haj-Ameen Al-Husseni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and notorious friend of Adolf Hitler.
Walid’s great grandfather, Abdullah Ali Awad-Allah, was also a fighter and close associate of both Abdul Qader and Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who led the Palestinians against Israel. Walid lived through and witnessed Israel’s Six Day War while living in Jericho.
As a young man, he became a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel, and was later imprisoned in the Russian Compound, Jerusalem's central prison for incitement and violence against Israel. After his release, he continued his life of violence and rioting in Bethlehem and the Temple Mount. After entering the U.S, he worked as a counselor for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and continued his anti-Israel activities.
ABOUT ‘WHY WE WANT TO KILL YOU’
WHY WE WANT TO KILL YOU emulates the regrets Walid feels as he looks back over 33 years of violence, the deep passion (which Walid calls his driving force) that now heals his soul; the truths he learned regarding the Jews and Israel, and how we can all become more aware of those in our midst, who, regardless of race or color, may be our enemy, as they sit and wait to bring us harm. www.shoebat.com
