STOP PUSHING SO HARD FOR WHAT YOU WANT! Let Go of Your Dream and Grab Hold of God’s Dream for You
“Life just isn’t working out the way I planned!” How often have we all thought that? Every many and woman has likely suffered the disappointment that can come with deep desire and longing. Whether it’s having a child, finding a soul mate, or any other of a myriad of hopes and yearnings, no one is immune from broken dreams.
Author/Coach Paula Rinehart is conducting Talk Show interviews to address the subject of expectations, disappointment, and discovering the real journey of lettering go of our own dreams and grabbing hold of God’s dreams and purposes He has for our lives.
In Paula’s new book, Better Than my Dreams, Finding What You Long For Where You Might Not Think to Look (Thomas Nelson Publishers, October 2007), she reveals that, though God’s dream for each of us is indeed different from the picture that we carry around inside us, it is actually better than our dreams. Paula contends that the door of disappointed dreams is the moment of invitation to the real journey with God, to the fellowship of His company, to an experience of the love, forgiveness, and rest in his mercy that we have sought all of our lives.
“The oddest part about our mental images is that we don’t know they are there until the video of our lives plays out in a different fashion,” says Rinehart. During your interview, Paula utilizes compelling, real life examples to help your listeners understand how their original dreams serve as a backdoor to discovering that their deepest desires can be met with a healthy relationship with others--especially with God. Rinehart helps people discover that what God is creating is better than anything they could have dreamed for themselves as she demonstrates how to:
*Face the fear of disappointment *Deal with life’s disturbing interruptions *Own your own “stuff” *Find the freedom to love difficult people
Rinehart’s coaching can lead anyone in your audience to a deeper level of awareness of their inner longing for their true purpose in life. Understanding that God knows what He is doing allows men and women to truly let go and enjoy the journey… living, loving, and embracing whatever comes. Paula’s advice to all of us: “Relinquish control! Stop pushing so hard for what you want! Embark on an amazing adventure with God and revel in the richness and the wonder of the path God has in store for you."
